Late 19th wax doll

This pretty very realistic doll is the heartbeat in an auction despite the absence of a hole in the head related to the proximity of a heat source and broken or missing limbs.

At first, it was important to spot the aesthetics of the remains of feet and hands to sculpt pieces identical.

Close the hole in the head and collect hair from behind on the back of the neck to fill the gap

Then color it while keeping the nuances of the wax, and style the natural hair.

Restoration of a Jesus in the context of the restoration of a complete nativity scene found at the Church of Yssac la Tourette

The wax Jesus being the room in worse condition. The symbolic grandeur of the object is much larger than the rest of the santons.

Restoration includes restoring and making missing parts, reconstructing the hairstyle and making clothes with old fabrics.

19th century nativity scene under globe

This beautiful nativity scene presented under a glass globe has the particularity of using several techniques for its manufacture. The background includes painted wax animals, the figures are mass colored wax , the  German virgin Mary head made in papier-mache, the  fruits  decoration are also made in painted wax. We can note the peculiarity of the child Jesus made with open-closed eyes.
